Our dreams
It is said that as a man grows old he remembers his youth, as far as his early childhood. It would make sense that the memory does not fade, as it would spare us many troubles.
But never mind.
The oblivion and a memory unveiled bring us many happy moments.
The same is with our dreams. We dream our whole life, despite the fact that we don’t live out our dreams. Dreams are meant to help us on difficult paths, bring awareness into them, or simply warn us about the obstacles. Many theories have been set and techniques taught about how to dream and how to remember our dreams.
I see dreams more as a play and a world where most things are allowed. In my dreams I tried my first flight lessons, jumping from one hill to another, diving in deep oceans with friends known and unknown.
Dreams are a real world where we continue our life, side by side with the life we live. I know that my writing will challenge some of you to try conscious dreaming.
As I sat by the morning fire and listened to my parents explain their dreams, I often crossed over and assumed a role in their dreams. How to do that is a secret of all young children who live in the wold of imagination. In this imaginary world of dreams I would relive the roles which happened in my parents’ dreams. It was fun, in those morning hours, especially with the scent of home-brewed coffee made of a mixture of grains and real coffee.
I felt deep tranquility and dreamland presence of all beings. I was especially taken over by very complicated dream situations, because I did not know how to get out of that world by myself. When passing from one world to the other the boundary was erased and life continued, joined in one whole.
My parents were heroes who were often solving impossible situations. Their dreams were so serious and important that it made me proud of them. I learned a lot, especially about traditions that are passed from one generation to another. Because human beings are connected to nature and its laws, it is important to know the laws for good dreams; as well as those less good.
In preparations for good dreams, which means directing and controling what happens in dreams, the person’s decision while awake is essential. Many traditions teach what and how to do in dreams in order to be revealed certain secrets.
My memories take me back to the period at the end of 1950s. I knew a bit about dreaming and how to direct the events in dreams, but older people said that children’s dreams don’t count because they are not real. The reason is that a child preserves a memory of spritual worlds and in his dreams he often encounters those dimension.
People would pay regard mostly to the messages conveyed through older peoples’ dreams because they have alredy formed personalities and have some experience in dreaming.
Children would hear that every time they wanted to talk about their dreams and be acklowledged as dreamers. The tests were considerable and the responsibility even bigger.
I became aware of this responsibility related to dreams during the school holidays. The deep sighs accompanying the morning coffee were a sign that something very important was about to happen. Would I be allowed to listen?
I was observing, sensing deep tension.
The first sip of coffee touched the earth as a sign of gratitue and blessing. Followed by a ritually smoked tobbacco, and giving thanks to the mother earth for the mercy that we are here. After a few minutes, in complete silence, the last deep sigh and my father’s words: »Kennedy and Lumumba will be murdered after I die. The times are coming when a double sun will be in the sky, two earths and a bloody sky.«
Complete silence.
»We will not be here, only our grandchildren.«
That was all. One year later I received in my dreams a message conveying my father’s departure. Soon after that my father left his physical body and continued his journey through spiritual worlds.
The prediction from the dreams came true and in some way marked all of us who knew what happened in those dreams. The most difficult thing is when you know that things are happening and you’re only nine years old. Because I was taught that life is a natural current, without secrets and lies, I was supported in many ways.
I had dreams about much of what I needed. Although I knew what to do and how, it was not enough for me. It is always necessary to reach one’s achievements using one’s own efforts. It is not enough just to dream, one has to mature, accept the parallel worlds and know that in dreams it is always you who make decisions.
At the moment when you are certain that you are in control of your dreams, you should be aware that it is only the beginning. Dreamworld requires constant learning, growth and development.
When you dream, you work in a parallel world. Many things happen beyond this world. We should always be aware that everything that happens carries huge responsibility.
We have to be aware that in dreamworld we make decisions which often help us fulfill the tasks we set long ago and promises we made in the past.
I hope that your life, too, with all your desires, is weaved from the stuff that dreams are made of.
