Money whispering
Money is a means to exchange wealth. Wealth are ideas, goods and services. Money is not wealth, it is a tool to exchange ideas, goods and services. The value of money is determined by people – those people who participate in the exchange, the seller and the buyer. We, who participate in this process, are also called producers and consumers.
People – participating in this money game – actually create money. People have an everlasting and natural right to create any kind of monetary sistem they want. It is a right of a human being to print money.
When we sell our time and effort to our employer, in fact we create money out of nothing. When a businessman buys something at lower price and raises the price to create profit through sale, he creates new money from nothing. All business profits are creation of new money from nothing, with an individual’s mind and idea. A businessman, customer, consumers ‘print’ new money each time they make exchange.
The money I have, other people don’t have. The only way for me to »get« more money is to get it from other people. And the only ethical way to get money from other people is to provide them with ideas, goods or services, for which they are willing to pay me. This is how I inform other people of my value.
In January 2007 I was invited to south-east England, to the town Totnes in Devon county. Schumacher College, where my friend completed a Masters degree a year before, is nearby. Her thesis was on money. Such thinking seemed to me at times strange, unreal…
Within the Transition Town Totnes initiative they decided to print their own, local money, in order to shift from words to action. That was the first time I started thinking about what money is, how it came into being, what it means and represents to us.
We live in a world which encourages us to consume, to worship material things and accumulate goods and money. 
This way of life has become the purpose, it no longer serves human beings and the quality of life. But we can resume our power to make decisions. With each decision we make we cocreate the world we live in. If we want to live in a different world, every moment is the right moment to start creating such world. For that, we need knowledge, and broad thinking about the world we live in.
The most important aspect is to get to know the real nature of money. Each person has to take a decision, deep within, what kind of awareness he or she wants to live. This awareness changes my attitute. In this changed attitute I provide myself with a possibility that more money flows through my life. Then it becomes true that »I have as much money as I need, and more«.
