Dječji dom “Mladost” Bijela, Montenegro – 31 October 2011

We first visited Dječji dom (Children Home) "Mladost" Bijela in September this year. We met the management of the organisation, as well as children.

Upon our return to Slovenia, we started collecting school requisites. We linked up with the head of Primary School Lava, Ms Marijana Kolenko, in Celje, and with her help we collected schoolbags, notebooks, crayons… We also collected numerous clothes – from underwear to coats for the youngest, as well as for older children.

Representatives of our organisation handed everything over, to the joy of children and the management. We had a meeting to discuss other collaboration possibilities. We agreed to sign a collaboration agreement.

Nikšič, Montenegro – 30 October 2011

Representatives of "EkoAltVindol" ( Ayana Pešec, Branka Laznik, Nevenka Mulej) continued the journey to Montenegro.

First, we visited Sarić family in Nikšić and delighted Mrs. Darinka with a wheelchair.

As her knees are severely worn out, her living space was up to now limited to her room. Now, her son and daughter in law with children, who take care of her, can take her to other rooms, as well as outside, and enable her a better quality, fulfilled ageing.

The wheelchair was handed over to her son Vojislav.

Mrs. Darinka will use the wheelchair for as long as she needs it.

Helping children in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro

During the past month, our Institute was collecting clothing, footwear, schoolbags, and sanitary material as part of the project “Vindol for the children of the world” – for children and adults in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and children in India.

With the help of our friends we collected a lot of clothes and footwear. Everything is sorted and ready to be handed over.

We linked up with Primary School Lava Celje, where children collect used schoolbags, crayons, and notebooks that they don’t need. On Monday, 24 October we took over the first collected goods. Schoolbags, and notebooks, donated by children and teachers of Primary School Lava will be handed over to their peers in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro at the end of the week. Our delegation is leaving on 28 October 2011, to pass the collected material to the ‘right hands’ as soon as possible. But the project for children of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro is continuing; we also collect for children in India, where we would like to ship by the end of this year.

Also children from the IV. Primary School Celje joined the project of collecting used schoolbags.

Avto Center Košak d.o.o. from Celje  helped us with one of their cars, so that we can deliver the collected goods safely to their destination.

We would sincerely like to thank everybody who listened to us, gave us your hand and helped us realise this project.

Relationships, how to understand them (parents, friends, lovers, business, study)

However we look at it, relationships are a complicated matter.

Nevertheless, there is always an option to be alone, and not having to deal with relationships. But we can't avoid them; not at school, not at work.

But I keep in mind the nice rule: that one can choose friends in one's private life, but not at work, unfortunately.

For example: have you ever been in a situation when you had to get rid of a person you dislike? I wonder whether you told that person directly that you don't want to hang out with him or her, or did you get rid of them in a diplomatic way?
